An Etruscan chariot from about 530BC

No, this is not an Israelite chariot, or a Canaanite one either. None of these have survived. But it is similar to the chariots used by Ahab's army.

The flat land on the plain below Jezreel was ideal for chariots, the army tanks of their day. Fast-moving charioteers crisscrossed the plains around Jezreel, protecting the city and the thousands of travellers who visited it.
