CITIES
IF THESE STONES COULD SPEAK...
A ruined portion of the city walls of ancient Jezreel Naboth's vineyard lay not far from these stone walls. Judging from the Bible story, the land must have been near the city, on the slope of land leading up to the walls. It was rich land, well tended for many centuries. These stones must also have seen the confrontation between Elijah and King Ahab, when Elijah condemned the king for the judicial murder of Naboth, and the acquisition of Naboth's prized vineyard.
